Bug Hotel Competition (2023)
Judging 14th May 2023
We would like members to design and construct a Bug Hotel which will ultimately take up residence either on their allotment or at home in a garden. Bug Hotels should not exceed 50cm x 50cm x 50cm and will be judged during the DAS AGM on Sunday 14th May 2023 at Fleet Meadow Hall. Everybody attending the AGM will be asked to vote for their favourite bug hotel.
Please bear in mind, if you plan to enter this competition, you will be required to bring your creation to the AGM for judging, we will be unable to accept entries in any other way.

Criteria and Rules
1. The DAS Bug Hotel Competition is owned and run by Didcot Allotment Society.
2. The competition is open to all DAS Members and their immediate family member's aged 15 or under.
3. The DAS Bug Hotel Competition is free to enter.
4.The competition opens for entrants to start their planning and construction with immediate effect.
5.The maximum allowed dimensions of the Bug Hotel are 50cm x 50cm x 50cm
6. The complete Bug Hotel should be portable and easily carried by one person.
7.Entrants should bring their Bug Hotel to the DAS AGM on Sunday 14th May 2023 at Fleet Meadow Hall
8.Attendees of the DAS AGM will be asked to vote for their favourite Bug Hotel
9.In the event of a tie between two or more entries the DAS Chairperson will be asked to select a winner from the tied entries.
10.The winner will be announced at the end of the DAS AGM
11.DAS reserve the right to photograph all entries, the photos may be used on the DAS website or social media pages.
